The Hansa Speed Camp
Hansa wants to make you better! Spend two or more days with our new Hansa Speed Camp and we promise you will improve your running technique, become quicker, faster, stronger, and more skilled fundamentally.
The Hansa Speed Camp will instruct each player, with modern equipment, on what they can do to optimize their physical ability for speed. The Academy will encourage each player to strive for a higher level of conditioning while focusing on their technique for speed. All components of this academy are aimed at improving running speed and agility, as well as power and quickness in soccer. Players will engage in activities that work on speed off the mark, speed in possession of the ball, quickness of feet, and ability to change direction quickly.
Strength training now plays a major role in soccer. However, simply lifting weights with the traditional "3 sets of 10 repetitions" approach is not an efficient way to spend training time. Soccer requires a balance of explosive power and muscular endurance. Hansa coaches will focus on those aspects. Some players may benefit from increasing their lean mass but even they should focus on converting much of their strength into soccer-specific power.
Our experienced coaches will use a variety of modern training tools, such as speed ladders, jump ropes, Therabands and parachutes to deliver sessions similar to those used by professional soccer clubs throughout the world.
Come prepared as this camp is physically demanding!
